We used Sighteeing Roma for HOHO bus tour around Rome. 2 routes to choose from and 2 routes all included in the 1 price of €20. The ticket is also valid for 2 days. We saw at least 6 or 7 other companys doing the same thing, the 110 bus seeming to be the most frequent. On our way back to port now for a 7.00 sailaway. Its been a very busy 2 days and we now have almost 2 sea days to recover. Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless device
Postcard #2.3 Vatican
Postcard #2.2 Roma
Postcard #2.1We have arrived at Civitavecchia
We have arrived on schedule at Civitavecchia. We have just had breakfast out in the sun and are off to Rome today. We have decided to make use of Costa’s bus service to Rome to make it easier for mum. At €29 each it isn’t that much more expensive than the train plus the ship leave without us if we are late. It will probably be a busy day today and the plan is to get a HOHO bus. Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless device
Postcard #1.10 Mediterranea Muster
Postcard #1.9 Sea Passes in cabin
Postcard #1.8 On board at last!
After a 2 and half hour wait we finally managed to get on board. Waiting in our cabin were our sea passes which seems to be a system unique to Costa. Its a very typical Costa cabin with no frills but extremely clean. Sailaway in a few minutes with the muster 30 minutes after. Just watched the Mediterrania have their muster. Postcard #1.6 Boarding
I had heard good things about boarding at Savona but it would appear to have been incorrect. It is the same system as we encountered in Venice where you are given a number and then wait until your number is called to start the boarding process. We have just been given 17 and the current number is 5! I think we have a wait on our hands (again). Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless device
